Starting sports photography has been one of the most eye-opening and rewarding experiences throughout my creative journey. Initially, it seemed like the goal would simply be to capture cool action shots, but it quickly became clear that the craft involves much more. It’s about timing, emotion, storytelling, and truly understanding the game being photographed.

One of the most significant lessons learned through this experience is the importance of anticipation. In sports, everything moves quickly—there’s no second chance to capture a game-winning goal or a powerful emotional reaction. Mastering this skill requires studying the rhythms of the sport, recognizing player tendencies, and predicting where the action will unfold before it happens. This process has cultivated a stronger sense of observation and patience, both behind the lens and in everyday life.
